Weighing in at 12.6 grams, the PL3 EMR Stylus Pen matches the official weight of the SuperNote push pen. The pen is about the same length as the standard Supernote push pen. This pen’s body is nicely textured, unlike the standard Supernote push pen’s smooth, shiny surface.

I was pleasantly surprised that the retract button also serves as an eraser. While the erase function in SuperNote is underdeveloped, it works just as well as the erasers on other pens.

Writing with the pen feels precise. The spring-loaded nib glides well across the SuperNote’s FeelWrite screen. The pen works wonderfully with Supernote and is indistinguishable in writing quality from the Standard and a few aftermarket pens I have.

This pen is thinner than the Supernote push pen. However, this can be remedied with any number of silicone sleeves that improve holding comfort. The body of the pen is perfectly round with no contours for your fingers to rest on.

The clip is all plastic, and I don’t know how well it's going to last.

Pricewise, this pen competes with the Supernote’s own push pen, but with the benefit of an eraser. If and when the Supernote eraser function is improved, this pen will instantly gain more value; until then, at a similar price point, it's a bit of a toss-up.

The nib caps are a nice addition to allow this pen to work with surfaces other than FeelWrite, and you get 5 of these with the pen. However, there is no convenient in-pen storage for the nib caps, and they can easily be lost.

My recommended improvements for the pen would be to increase its girth, add some finger-rest contours, and take the opportunity to add a side button.

This is the most surprising (in the best way ever) purchase I have ever made.
The pen body has a premium matte finish that feels fantastic to hold. In contrast,
the clicky end has a smoother, subtly rubberized texture, despite being also plastic, presumably.
It has the best eraser feel in my opinion, hitting the sweetest spot between being a hard plastic and a soft rubber. It feels even better than the eraser on Staedtler Noris Digital Jumbo. Also, it does come with 5 "nib caps", which I assume is for writing on glass-like surface.

The pen is noticeably slimmer in diameter than it looks in the picture (see one of the pictures for comparison with a quarter dollar coin and a Pilot G2 pen). But the pen is not lightweight at all. It has a satisfying heft with a center of gravity located slightly closer to the tip.
There seems to be some sort of metals at the middle (closer to the tip) of the pen. This forward weighting perfectly counterbalances the eraser at the back, preventing the pen from feeling top-heavy, and makes it very nicely balanced when writing.

While the EMR core housing resembles the official Supernote refill, the tip actually looks and feels slightly different. When writing, the PL3 pen feels less rigid than the Supernote ceramic tip, which I actually prefer. The exposed portion of the ceramic tip is slightly shorter than that of the Supernote ceramic (see one of the pictures for the differences), which I also personally like. Most importantly, there is significantly less rattle compared to the Supernote standard clicky pen, because the core fits almost perfectly flush with the pen opening (see one of the pictures).

Also, if you are wondering, this pen produces the same digital line quality as the official Supernote pen.

Finally, being able to integrate an eraser into the clicking mechanism is also very eye-opening. I keep thinking about how the internal is engineered to achieve this. I love the color too. It adds some unique personality to the product. The clicking mechanism may not be as satisfying as you might think, however,

Overall, this PL3 pen totally exceeds my expectation and is definitely worth every penny. Especially when this is at the exact same price point as the Supernote standard clicky pen ($65), this PL3 pen is an absolute no-brainer.

My first pen to go with my new Manta. I can't compare it to anything but it writes well and the eraser is a nice addition and it actually erases well. Fair price when compared to it's competition. Quick delivery as well.

I’ve been trying out several emr pens for my supernote tablet and actually really enjoy this one. I’ve tried ceramic, pom and el/pc tips and prefer ceramic.

This pen is super light weight, its writing performance feels excatly like an official supernote pen. The eraser back is compatible with supernote software, but all erasers are bit limited on supernote compared to some other devices. While I find its appearance a bit bland compared to other emr pens out there it’s functional and does exactly what you what you’d want from a emr pen. Because it’s push pen with a retractable tip I’m not as nervous about breaking the tip in my bag. As long as the tip is retracted in , it would probably survive a fall, any capped emr pen probably do about the same though. It feels durable enough to be a good travel pen. There are definitely some emr pens out there with more functionality and ceramic tips like C1 viwoods, but if it hits the ground or gets crushed in a bag it’s gone, emr pens like that never leave my desk. This I feel more confident about carrying with me.

As for the price, unless you plan to DIY yourself a ceramic nib emr pen or don’t care about an eraser at all, this is probably the best you can get for the price point. I prefer it to any official supernote pen at the time of writing this review as it’s the same or cheaper and has an eraser that no official supernote pens have. However, that may change in the future when supernote releases their side button pen, but for the time being it’s been one of the top emr pens for me.

So, if you want a very light weight ceramic tip pencil with an eraser, and don’t care about its looks as much as function, I think this about the best you can do for now without a bit of DIY. For an extra 15 dollars or so, I’d take this of a Noris Jumbo any day.

Love the ceramic nib, great feel on all e-ink tablets I tried it on. Eraser is great, just wish it had Smart button too and was magentic. But ceramic rules. Gives a reMarkable Paper Pro Feel to Wacom EMR type styluses.

Favorite new pen to use with Supernote devices. Works well, is a little smaller, which I like. The nib is firm and doesn't wiggle around like some other pens do.
